The National Society of Accountants will welcome Terry Lemons, the IRS Chief of Communications & Liaison, to the Annual Meeting in Charlotte, North Carolina. Mr. Lemons will be the keynote speaker for NSA’s luncheon on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm.
Lemons is the IRS Chief of Communications and Liaison, overseeing national outreach and communications efforts for the tax agency. His duties include working with national tax groups, overseeing external and internal communications for the agency as well Congressional relations. He also serves as the chair of the Security Summit Communications team, a joint effort between the IRS, the states and the private-sector tax industry to battle identity theft and encourage data security.
Lemons is a 20-year veteran of the IRS and was recognized in 2017 with a Presidential Rank Award, the highest honor given to career federal government executives.
